Our Story

 Hello, I’m Ruth (on the right) the founder of First Gymnastics. Once upon a time I was a Gymnast, competing for my region in national Gymnastics events.

My journey started in my very early school years. Back then, my favourite piece of apparatus was the beam, starting out with a low level beam like First Gymnastics use.

Life took over, meaning a career and children of my own, but I wanted to start a Gymnastics [Club] – that was accessible, proving recreation Gymnastics sessions.

Our first session started back in 2014, in our home town of Chester. Since then, we’ve expanded and presently offer sessions across the north-west of England. With our Franchise now available UK wide, we hope to add many more venues in the coming years.

We believe that First Gymnastics sessions should above all be fun. This is reflected by our smile – move – grow ethos.
